Miscellaneous Notes
Limitations- Neither the object name nor file paths may contain the tilde character "~". This can lead to malfunctions or program crashes.
- Due to lack of opportunity, I have only tested the program rudimentarily with mosaic data.
- Version changes in Siril or integrated modules can lead to problems and the need for adjustments to InstantSiril.
Change Log- v1.0.0, Aug. 11, 2026: Initial release
- v1.0.1, Aug. 12, 2026: BlurXTerminator tool call bug fix
- v1.0.2, Aug. 15, 2026: Minor bug fix
- v1.1.0, Aug. 17, 2026: Comet processing added
- v1.2.0, Aug. 18, 2026: The cluttered Python structure left over from the development process has been cleaned up. If a previous version has already been in use, the configuration file instantsiril_conf.txt in the user's home directory must be deleted before the first launch of this version to enable the installer. The Python scripts will be reinstalled.
- v1.3.0, Aug. 24, 2026: Extensive internal restructuring: Most of the code has been rewritten to be OS-independent in preparation for a Windows port. Implicit dependencies on Seestar telescopes have been eliminated to enable integration of additional systems. An update procedure has been implemented, meaning the configuration file no longer needs to be deleted when upgrading to a newer version.
- v1.3.1, Aug. 25, 2026: A typo in the code caused the object name not to be written to the log file.
- v1.4.0, Aug. 26, 2026: Bug fixes, the Seestar S50 Pro has been added to the telescope list, and manual image cropping is now available — see the corresponding section in Examples.
- v1.4.1, Aug. 27,2026: (Mac / Windows): Kleine Code-Anpassungen und erster Release für Windows
